West Hobart Suburb Profile

The quiet and refined suburb of West Hobart boasts bushland on one side and the city centre on the other. It really is the best of both worlds.

At one end of West Hobart lies Knocklofty Reserve. Once a sandstone quarry, this native bushland is now home to a number of walking tracks, lookouts, ponds and picnic areas. Locals enjoy escaping the hustle and bustle of the nearby city and taking their dogs for a stroll through this peaceful part of the suburb.

The still and leafy characteristics of Knocklofty flow over into West Hobart’s suburban streets. In what was originally settled as a farming district, today you can enjoy other small parks, quiet streets and beautiful views – all within 2km of the CBD.
