There is a football club and clubroom, archery centre, yacht club and three boat launching areas, Tasmanian Equestrian Centre, Tangara Trails, parks and BBQ areas.

The canal is very popular for kayaking, canoeing and model boat racing and the beach is clean and tranquil swimming. Just 10 minutes away to surf beaches, surf club, bowls club, RSL and golf course.
