As an interstate investor who purchased a Hobart property in June this year, I needed an agent I could trust to be my eyes and ears. My name is Paul and I’m a FIFO worker who works all over Australia doing remote mineral exploration. Originally from Tasmania, I wanted to purchase an investment property in the South and needed a reliable real estate agent to find a property to suit my needs.
I contacted Enrico Palermo early February while I was in the state, about purchasing a property. The first encounter was brief but to the point, as I was not ready to purchase a house straight away. We exchanged details and Enrico sent me the first of many emails asking me to outline what I was looking for and the budget I had in mind.
Over the next two months emails went back and forwards with different properties that came on the market that I might be interested in. By this time I had travelled over to W.A. for a three month contract drilling in the Gascoyne which is a very remote area of Australia.

When I decided to list my property for sale late last year it was important to me to not only have the best possible presentation, but to also ensure I had the best possible agent to present my home in its most favourable light.
My choice of agent was not an ad hoc or flippant decision. I chose to interview one agent from each of three agencies with excellent reputations in the sale of premium properties. Once I met you it really was clear to me that you were the person I needed to sell my home. You were professional and friendly and you made a point of following up after we met. I must confess from the personality point of view, you were a standout. I also liked the fact that you followed up with a nice card thanking me for my time and offering to be of further assistance if required. There were no pushy phone calls asking "Have you decided yet". Once you returned to meet with my husband, he was quick to agree "Yes this is the right agent for us".
I have to admit that I have bought and sold more properties than I care to mention over the past ten years. Accordingly, I am well aware that choosing the right agent is only the first step.
